About Rnation.com

Rnation is short for Radio Nation and means OUR Nation as in "community." Rnation is an Internet only Radio Station. Our music format is 70% R&B, 20% Hip Hop, and 10% Jazz. R&B is a format that is not represented very well on the Internet and we intend to fill that void. As we continue to grow we will include more live 24/7 Hip Hop, Jazz and Talk formats.
Rnation is a community driven free web-site, maintained by volunteers, we see ourselves as a meeting ground for members of the nation to express ideas, share knowledge and display talent. We are not a corporate site so we do not have the massive war chest to hire a huge staff, as a matter of fact there is no staff. Rnation consist of myself, and my brother, Gary Lee Phifer, who is also the webmaster. Therefore we will make use of contributing cyber writers/reporters.

A Rnation contributing writer/reporter is someone that understands what we are trying to accomplish, can see the Potential of R nation and wants to be a part of what will be in the near future one of the hottest sites on the web.

We are currently advertising Rnation.com in Vibe Magazine, Black Enterprise, The AU Digest, and the Atlanta Creative Loafing. As we continue to grow we are committed to an aggressive advertising campaign.

Our long term goal at Rnation is to create a environment that blends music, entertainment, sports and fashion along with business information, political and social commentary. Since we are a Music site it goes without saying that we are committed to comprehensive information on the Entertainment Industry, but I am also committed to having a top notch Business Section. I am convinced that the two can co-exist.

I want to assure all of the Rnation volunteers that we are in it for the long haul, we will always exist and it is impossible for us to fail. Some of you will get involved for the fun of it, some for recognition and others because you believe in our concept, regardless of your reason it will be a lot of fun. When the day comes when Rnation is making any money, our volunteers will become paid volunteers.

Our short-term goal at Rnation is to accomplish as much of the long-term goal as possible using the resources we have available to us.

We need volunteers in the following areas:

Rperspective - We are looking for individuals with strong messages that members of Rnation find provocative and compelling. Share opinions that will inspire conversation and debate. You can maintain your own column. We will monitor the number of hits your column generates and the amount of conversation you inspire on our Message Boards.

Rsports - If you have a keen interest in sports, enjoy sports writing, sharing opinions and updating Rnation on issues relating to sports, you can maintain a column with us.

Rnation Entertainment - If you enjoy digging up information and reporting on the stars we are willing to give you a shot.

Rcartoon & satire - We are going to feature our own comic strips and political satire. We already have one person on board but we have room for more. You have ownership of your material. I encourage you to get involved now. This site will be huge very soon and it may be an opportunity lost.

Rpoetry/prose - This will be a popular section in the near future, our poetry section will be set up so you can listen to the poet reading his/her poetry via Real Audio with a music background, if desired.  It's going to be great!  You can submit what you have on cassette with music and we will put it in Real Audio format, or we can feature you in written format.

Rhealth & nutrition - You must to have the credentials to make contributions to this section. We are looking for someone who has expertise in diet and nutrition, Physical Fitness, Strength and conditioning, etc.

Rmoney - If you are a professional in the field of Finance, Investment, Technology, Career Counseling etc. e-mail Veston. I am willing to let this section remain dormant until I can afford to hire qualified help.
