![]() Airlines Hit Hard Following Terrorist Attacks
Most feel that more time-consuming security measures combined with concern about additional terrorist actions will lead most consumers away from air travel. Combined with the fact that airlines lost millions of dollars over the more than two days during which they were not allowed to fly, this could be potentially devastating. ![]()
9.18.01 Tuesday morning Angen Inc. said that approved Aranesp for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic renal failure. According to analyst comments this approval is ahead of expectations. ABN Amro had expected the approval to take place in Q4 2001.
Jan Medina, analyst at ABN Amro says Aranesp's US approval solidifies Amgen's fundamentals and growth prospects. Analyst is raising 2001 earnings estimates to $1.18 from $1.17 and upgrading the stock to Buy from Add.
Currently stock is trading at $60.48, down $0.37 on 9.3 million shares.
