Good Company is not only the name of this neo-soul hip-hop trio, but the feeling you get when you hear their new explosive and innovative style of music. Straying away from raps contemporary anthems based on project chicks, iced out chains and foreign automobiles, Good Company focuses on the art of music and experiments with a sound they call Hypnotic.

GC consists of three emcees known as Master Icon, The Young Legend and Jahah (a.k.a. "J"). Emerging from the metropolitan area of the dirty south (Atlanta), each lyricist offers verbal gymnastics and the wittiness to keep you entertained for a solid four song EP. GC describes their music as the next 15 minutes of fame, but with one exception...longevity.

According to JQ (a Noontime writer), "...GC delivers a listener friendly sound that will remind you of the first three Tribe Called Quest albums, but with a 2001 boost."

GC can definitely be compared to other artist(s) such as The Roots, De La Soul, DeAngelo, Common and Outkast. However, GC rises to the surface with a unique twist that establishes the group as a force to reckon with in a field of their own.

The three men of Good Company first learned of each other while attending Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA. After several local freestyle ciphers in the AUC, the three distinguished voices bonded and decided to form Good Company. When asked how the name Good Company came about, the three emcees agree that it is the vibe you receive when listening to their material. "You feel like you're in a zone, like when your driving down the street listening to your favorite song (The Young Legend)." According to Cassius (CEO of Mustard Seed Entertainment), GC provides you with unique visions of what hip-hop will soon be. The members of GC are confident that their material isn't trendy or momentarily hot. "We have staying power and classic material that you could play 5 or 10 years from now Like Slick Rick's Mona Lisa (Master Icon)."

While awaiting their first big break as a group, snippets of the GC crew can be heard on Arrested Developments new LP, along with their production credit on new artist(s) Corey and Juliet 7 (Mustard Seed/Noontime artists). The GC crew plan to shop their material in search of a beneficial record deal and relationship with a major label. Hopefully the world will be able to enjoy Good Company whenever they pop in a CD or attend their favorite nightclub to hear good music. It shouldn't take long for you to invite GC into your heart after listening to one song.
