Zone 3

In this hip-hop game you have people claiming everything from Magnolia projects to Marcy projects. Well now the A-T-L has a group that’s representing and ZONE 3 is what they claim.

HipHopEncounter: Why the name ZONE 3?

ZONE 3: That’s where we’re from, born and breed. When you think of Atlanta you think of Decatur, College Park, and East Point, well we're putting Central A-T-L in da game.

HHE: Who are the members of ZONE 3?

Z3: Oski Wo, Phaze 1, and Oct Man.

HHE: So what will make ZONE 3 different from other ATL groups?

Z3: (Phaze 1) A lot of our peers are doing bounce and crunk hip hop. We’re very lyric conscience, were saying something with each verse.

HHE: Who would be a typical ZONE 3 fan?

Z3: (Oct Man) Anyone from 17 to 26 years old, going through life’s struggles.

HH3: What’s the deal on the single?

Z3: It’s in stores now!!! It’s called "We Ride them Chevy’s", call your local radio station and request it, it’s tight.

HHE: Why Chevy’s and not Bentleys?

Z3: First off all our crew push them Chevy’s and most cats who don’t, want to, plus Bentleys cost to much.

HHE: Who did the production on this project?

Z3: Crooked Fusion supplied us with the heat. They’re puttin in Mad Work in 2001.

HHE: What’s the name of your label?

Z3: Jo Blo Entertainment (Phaze 1) We have a full roster coming. Look out for the Cella B.A.T.S., Sydekyck. Dot.Com, Babydoll, and Jeweliette.

HHE: So when can we check for these new artists?

Z3: (Oct Man) On that ZONE 3 album, see we all Family, so when we step up to bat first, we're bringing our family along with us. (Phaze 1) We also want our fans to respect us, as well as our crew.

HHE: So does this mean no hi-profile features?

Z3: (Oski-Wo) Our click is hi-profile, so we figured instead of people checking for who’s on the album, we could just introduce them to Jo Blo Entertainment.

HHE: Any parting words for fans, waiting for that ZONE 3 CD?

Z3: (Oct Man) Yeah, be a critic of what’s out today, it’ll make you better if you strive to top it. (Phaze 1) Bring more than rapping to the table, you also need dedication.

Z3: (Oski-Wo) Stay on point.
