Prodigy (of Mobb Deep) H.N.I.C.
Loud
Mobb Deep lyricist, Prodigy , steps out with his first solo attempt. At the first listen to this CD, I feel like this was strictly a mistake. Mobb Deep is on the brink of being a hip-hop super-group, so why go solo? Prodigy does have a lot to offer lyrically and does just that on cuts like "Genesis", "Rock Dat Shit", and "Veterans' Memorial". On "You Can Never Fell My Pain" Pee tells about his life and battle with sickle cell disease and being the son of a drug addict. Superstar rappers such as Noreaga on "What U Rep", Big Nord on "Infamous Minded", Cormega on "Three", B.G. of Cash Money Millionarires on "Y.B.E.", Mobb Deep's partner, Havoc, on "Wanna Be Thugs" and "Delt With the Bullshit", gives this disc an extra added punch, but only enough to make me want the next Mobb Deep CD.

Skinny Pimp & 211 Controversy
Tennessee legend, Skinny Pimp , returns to the scene and this time he's not alone. He has rapper 211 alongside him. This CD is a major disappointment to his loyal fans. Skinny Pimp produced this entire CD and THAT also is a mistake. The tracks are very dull and boring. The best cut is "Bitch Move" and that's the intro. 211's presence really doesn't help at all....just dead weight. "Lil Arm Dance" is a weak attempt to diss 3-6 Mafia and it doesn't work. The only controversy is the fact that I need to find some sucker to sell it to.
